Different Types of Kid’s Beds

I never knew there is a wide range of beds in the market made for kids. When I think of kid’s beds, the bunk bed is the only thing that comes to mind. Going to the furniture store, I was so amazed to find that there are so plenty of childrens bedroom furniture to select from aside from the usual bunk beds. I learned that kid’s beds could also include a trundle bed, a canopy bed, a captain’s bed and a day bed.
A Trundle bed is a low bed kept underneath another bed. It is equipped with wheels so it can easily slide out whenever it is needed. Otherwise known as truckle bed, I think this bed is perfect when your child holds sleepovers.
Little girls would love canopy beds. Canopy beds have four high posters adorned with sheer cloth or draperies that cover the bed. This bed looks regal and luxurious. I guarantee this will be a hit with the little princesses.
Another kid’s bed is the captain’s bed. It is a bed with built-in drawers and cabinets underneath. I find this piece of kid’s furniture awesome because it performs double duties – you know, being a sleeping area and a storing unit. Aside from that, it is also space-saving.
Last but not the least is the day bed. A daybed is a couch that is used as a seat by day and as a bed by night. I really like this type because of its versatility. For families living in small apartments, this is just the right bed for their kids. They can turn the bed into a seating area to entertain visitors during the day and tuck their child in this bed at night.
